Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Principal EIA Consultant to lead environmental assessment and consenting services across a national portfolio in the UK. The role involves managing projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering robust EIAs, Environmental Statements and related documentation.

You will provide technical guidance on environmental constraints, mitigation and consenting, while developing client relationships and supporting business growth within our environmental

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and environmental statements.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage workstreams and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of UK environmental assessment legislation and planning policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to delivery of EIAs, Environmental Statements and associated documentation across sectors.
• Manage EIA projects from scoping through submission and consent.
• Coordinate inputs from technical specialists to ensure robust, proportionate assessments.
• Advise clients on environmental constraints, mitigation and consenting requirements.
• Prepare, review and quality‑assure EIA reports and supporting documents.
• Support business development and mentor junior colleagues.
