A well-known educational institution in London is seeking a Teacher of Science to inspire students and teach across multiple key stages. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for science, adaptability, and a commitment to high expectations. This role offers a supportive environment with a collaborative department focused on high-quality education.
JFS is a voluntary-aided school of over 2,000 students, including a thriving Sixth Form of over 500. The school is recognised for attainment and progress, and aims to help children grow into excellent adults prepared for everything ahead. It has been named among the top-performing state schools of the year in the Sunday Times rankings and achieved a Progress 8 score of +1.16.
We are seeking a Teacher of Science who is a fantastic classroom practitioner, motivated by developing both children and adults. You will be supported by a superb Subject Leader in a well-resourced and highly capable department.
We are committed to building a truly exceptional school founded on an enthusiastic, caring and talented staff. At JFS, relationships matter, boundaries are clear, and teachers hold high expectations for students.
Beyond departmental support, the school aims to minimise distractions: meetings are kept to a minimum, duties are limited, and a strong pastoral care structure supports students. A team of 17 full-time professionals coordinates provisions and ensures accessible in-school support.
If you have any questions, please contact david.moody@jfs.brent.sch.uk. We are happy to organise a visit or answer questions to help you decide if JFS is the right fit for you. We look forward to hearing from like-minded applicants.
