Lead Practitioner – Business & Economics

As a result of the continued expansion in student numbers in the Business and Economics department at both GCSE and A Level, we are seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner commencing in January or April 2026. The main purpose of the role is to model exemplary teaching and lead the improvement of teaching and learning across the school.

  • Model high‑quality teaching and lead the development of teaching skills across the department.
  • Coach and train other staff members to raise teaching standards.
  • Teach Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 Business and Key Stage 5 Economics.
  • Participate in Enterprise Education, particularly Young Enterprise, in order to enrich the curriculum.

The successful applicant will have high expectations, be a reflective practitioner, and be keen to develop and improve their teaching. They will help students reach high aspirations and share the belief that our students deserve an exceptional curriculum and the very best teaching.
