Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding patient-centred service in our stores. You’ll help triage patients, coach the dispensary team, and provide expert technical advice on medicines and product options.

You’ll work closely with pharmacy colleagues to ensure safe, legal dispensing and smooth day-to-day operations, with training and career progression opportunities across Boots.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Excited to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to change things for the better for teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.
• Previous experience as Pharmacy Technician with checking capability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines and products.
• Delivering services depending on the store needs.
• Building great relationships with the pharmacy team and coaching them to deliver high care standards.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage operational tasks including stock replenishment, workload management, order fulfilment, and handling controlled drugs.
