Job summary

Boots is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred care and expert technical advice on medicines. You will triage patients, support the dispensing team, and uphold safe, legal decision-making in-store.

You’ll coach staff, manage stock and utilise pharmacy systems to provide efficient, high-quality service to our customers and communities, with opportunities to develop your career at Boots.

Qualifications

• GPhC/PSNI/PSI registration required.
• Experience coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Driven to improve outcomes for teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support.
• Deliver services according to store needs.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assist with triage of patients and distribute prescription handouts.
• Take ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock, workload, order fulfilment, and handling of controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
