Job summary

Boots Pharmacy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred service and expert medicines advice. You’ll triage patients, coach the team and support the healthcare staff in providing high-quality care.

You’ll work with the pharmacy team to ensure safe dispensing, use of systems and technology, and ongoing development through Boots training and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to change things for the better for our teams, customers and patients.
• A desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines and services.
• Delivering services depending on store needs.
• Coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock, workload, orders and handling controlled drugs with patient safety in mind.
