Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our community-focused team. You will deliver patient-centred care, triage patients, coach the dispensary team and provide expert advice on medicines and products.

You’ll ensure legal, safe, and ethical decision-making and support stock management and pharmacy operations to keep the store running smoothly. We value coaching, excellent communication, and the ability to use pharmacy systems.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Experience coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve things for better teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services depending on store needs.
• Building great relationships with the pharmacy team and coaching them to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with patient triage and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock replenishment, workload management, order fulfilment, and handling controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
