Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient‑centred service and expert technical guidance on medicines. You will work with the pharmacy team, providing high‑quality care, triaging patients, and supporting stock management and compliance.

Experience with pharmacy systems and a passion for coaching others are essential. This role is based in‑store, with opportunities to progress within Boots.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Desire to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to change things for the better for our teams, customers and patients.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines and products.
• Delivering services dependant on store needs.
• Coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision‑making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock, workload, order fulfilment, receiving and handling controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
