Job summary
Boots UK is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding patient-centred service and coach the pharmacy team in a busy community setting. You will triage patients, provide expert advice on medicines, and support the delivery of a range of store services.
The role emphasises coaching and leadership within the dispensary, ensuring safe, ethical pharmaceutical practice and strong patient care standards. Training and development opportunities are offered within Boots’ store network.
Qualifications
- Must be registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Motivation to improve teams, customers and patients.
- Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
- Deliver services based on store needs.
- Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high quality care.
- Assist with triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
- Make safe, legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy.
- Manage stock replenishment, workload, orders, and handling of controlled drugs with patient safety in mind.
