Job summary

Boots is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred service, triage patients and provide expert technical advice on medicines. You will coach the dispensary team, maintain safety standards and support stock and workflow management in a busy Boots pharmacy.

The role emphasises teamwork, regulatory compliance and delivering high-quality patient care every day, with opportunities to develop within Boots’ career pathways.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve team, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services as required by the store.
• Coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership of legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing operational tasks including stock replenishment, workload planning, order fulfilment and handling controlled drugs safely.
