Job summary

Boots Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred services, provide expert advice on medicines, and coach the pharmacy team to maintain the highest standard of care. The role involves triage support, stock control, and upholding legal and ethical practice in a busy retail pharmacy.

You’ll work with a team to inspire colleagues, deliver excellent patient care, and use pharmacy systems and technology to support daily operations and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• A genuine excitement for coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services based on store needs.
• Building relationships with the pharmacy team and coaching them to deliver high care standards.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing operational tasks including stock replenishment, workload management, and handling controlled drugs.
