Job summary

Boots Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding, patient-centred service across our community stores. You will triage patients, provide expert technical advice on medicines, and support the pharmacy team daily. You’ll be registered with the appropriate regulator and ready to coach and lead a dispensary team.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC/PSNI/PSI).
• Experience coaching and leading a dispensary team preferred.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve patient care and teams.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.
• Previous checking experience is a plus; training available.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Deliver services tailored to store needs.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality care.
• Assist with patient triage and prescription handouts.
• Make safe, legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock, workload, orders, and handling controlled drugs with patient safety.
