Job summary

Boots is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient‑centred service, coach the dispensary team, and manage operational tasks in a busy store. You’ll provide expert advice, support triage, and ensure safe, ethical decisions in daily pharmacy operations.

Applicants should be registered with the regulatory body, enjoy coaching others, and possess strong communication and organisational skills. Training for checking may be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Excited to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivated to improve services for teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and related support.
• Delivering services as required by store needs.
• Coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with patient triage and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision‑making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock replenishment, workload, orders, and handling controlled drugs safely.
