Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Greater London is seeking a Community Children OT Clinical Specialist/SEND Team Leader. This role involves clinical leadership and management of occupational therapists while working closely with educational settings to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Candidates should possess relevant qualifications, including HCPC registration, and an understanding of SEND legislation. The position offers a salary range of £64,156 to £71,148 a year, reflective of the pivotal role in nurturing child development and ensuring effective service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification and HCPC registration.
  • Recognised post graduate qualification in specialist clinical area.
  • Commitment to advance clinical and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and operational management of the Occupational Therapists.
  • Support commissioning schools with the development of community OT service offers.
  • Monitor SEND referrals and support triage.

Skills

Knowledge of SEND legislation
Advanced communication skills
Knowledge of Neurodevelopmental disorders
Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Education

Degree or equivalent qualification and HCPC registration
Recognised post graduate qualification in specialist clinical area
