A metropolitan borough council in the West Midlands is hiring a Lead Officer to manage property asset systems and ensure quality reporting for the Corporate Landlord Programme. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, at least 3 years of experience, and skills in property data analysis and GIS. Strong communication skills and management experience are essential. This newly created role aims to shape the Corporate Landlord Programme, supporting senior officers in a political context.
Located in the West Midlands, Sandwell is a metropolitan borough in the Black Country, which is made up of six towns: Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury, and West Bromwich.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the newly forming property assets, systems and data team.
Can you manage, our property asset systems and data to enable quality reporting of property assets and data sets for our Corporate Landlord programme?
Do you regularly review reporting mechanisms to ensure they incorporate best practice and meet the needs of your service and organisation?
Could you assist in establishing and maintaining arrangements to ensure robust data quality arrangements are in place across the Corporate Landlord Programme?
Are you the ‘techie’ our team needs on Asset Management reporting databases/Auto CAD/GIS/MapThat/AI/Power BI/Excel and other newly emerging technologies?
This is a newly created role and as such, we are looking for vibrant, laser focused individuals who are keen to help shape the newly forming Corporate Landlord Programme.
You must be comfortable supporting Senior officers with the development of services within the political and partnership context of the Council.
We are looking for someone with management experience, who supports and nurtures using a coaching and mentoring mindset whilst ensuring performance targets set for the team are reached.
You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be self-aware.
