Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a senior Land Referencing professional to lead complex infrastructure and development projects from the London, UK region. You will head land referencing and land assembly efforts, mentor teams, and coordinate with senior leaders to align with programme, quality and cost objectives.

You will manage budgets, liaise with clients and regulators, and ensure robust Book of Reference and Land Plans delivery across multiple schemes, while travelling as needed.

Qualifications

• Track record delivering land referencing and land assembly for infrastructure or development projects.
• Leadership and line-management experience with mentoring.
• Strong project management including budget oversight and resource coordination.
• Client-facing and external stakeholder engagement experience.
• Knowledge of statutory processes (DCOs, TWAOs, hybrid Bills).
• Experience delivering a Book of Reference, Land Plans and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate extensive stakeholder engagement with public, owners, authorities and solicitors.
• Interpret spatial data with GIS to produce Land Ownership and Access Plans.
• Produce and quality-check statutory notices, access agreements and plans.
• Manage landowner engagement and relationships.
• Oversee production of Book of Reference and Land Plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
• Interface with clients and partners to promote services.
• Lead and develop project teams and secure delivery.
• Represent the team in external networks and client meetings.
