Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Land Advisory lead to supervise land referencing, land assembly, and strategic consultancy for infrastructure projects. You will mentor a team, engage with clients, and manage resources to deliver high‑quality technical work while aligning with programme, quality, and cost objectives.

You will influence land referencing strategies across multiple projects, overseeing Book of Reference production and ensuring statutory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering land referencing and land assembly on infrastructure or development projects.
• Strong leadership and line management experience with mentoring focus.
• Experience in budget oversight and resource coordination for projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement with clients and external partners.
• Knowledge of Development Consent Orders, hybrid Bills or TWAOs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate extensive stakeholder engagement including public, landowners, authorities and solicitors.
• Work with GIS & Mapping team to interpret spatial data and produce Land Ownership plans.
• Produce and quality-check statutory notices, access agreements and related documents.
• Engage with affected landowners and manage Book of Reference production.
• Oversee production of Land Plans and associated documents and reports.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports and client interfaces.
• Provide team leadership and represent services externally to promote value.
• Support project budgets, commercial planning, and alignment with programme objectives.
