Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Land Consultant to join the Land Advisory team. You will provide detailed land ownership information, research Land Registry records, and liaise with landowners to support major UK infrastructure projects.

You will work with the GIS team to interpret spatial data and produce land plans, plans, and notices while coordinating access with authorities and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography or equivalent.
• Experience delivering land services on major infrastructure schemes.
• Understanding of statutory planning processes and procedures.
• Ability to engage professionally with a wide network of stakeholders.
• Experience taking ownership of small workstreams or packages of work.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking land referencing activities including HM Land Registry research, desktop research, and analysis of landowner questionnaires.
• Liaising with landowners and their agents onsite, by phone or email.
• Working with GIS & Mapping to interpret spatial data and produce Land Ownership Plans.
• Producing and quality checking statutory notices and access licences.
• Producing the Book of Reference and Land Plans with related documents.
• Coordinating land access for environmental surveys with landowners.
• Engaging with Local Authorities to confirm highways and rights of way details.
• Producing weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Communicating professionally with clients.
• Collaborating with planners, stakeholder engagement and GIS specialists.
