Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Land Advisory Lead in the UK to oversee land referencing and assembly on major infrastructure projects. You will guide a team, interface with clients, and ensure timely, compliant delivery across multiple sites, including Leeds and other UK locations.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with GIS specialists to interpret spatial data, delivering high-quality land plans and reference documents in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Track record leading land referencing, land assembly for infrastructure or development projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and line management experience.
• Strong project management with budget oversight and resource coordination.
• Experience in client-facing roles and external stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of statutory processes (DCOs, TWAOs, hybrid Bills, Transport and Works Act Orders)

Responsibilities

• Lead land referencing and land assembly teams across complex infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with GIS and mapping teams to produce land ownership plans.
• Prepare and quality-check statutory notices and access plans.
• Engage with landowners and stakeholders; manage communications.
• Oversee production of Book of Reference, Land Plans, and related documents.
• Provide weekly/monthly project reports and client interfaces.
