Job summary

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2 or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment.
• Willingness to undertake job related training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of menus and portion control and function catering where appropriate.
• Record keeping and stock-taking, including stores and fridges.
• Maintain hygiene and safety, including temperature recording.
• Assist in supervising other employees and training where required.
• General kitchen duties and cash handling where appropriate.
