Qualifications

• Hold either NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2 or equivalent or higher relevant qualification.
• Two years’ experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment.
• HACCP knowledge is required.
• Willingness to undertake job related training.

Responsibilities

• Skilled cooking activities for full range of meals and special dietary needs.
• Assist with record keeping and hygiene/food safety controls.
• Supervise other staff on occasion and assist with planning meals.
• Handle stock, deliveries, and kitchen administration as needed.
• Promote the service to increase uptake and ensure premises security.
