Lead Fire Surveyor - Responsibilities
- Produce fee proposals, fire strategy reports and technical documentation.
- Attend client meetings, carry out site surveys and communicate fire strategy recommendations clearly and confidently.
- Review architectural drawings to identify risks and opportunities to enhance the fire strategy.
- Calculate evacuation times and complete Means of Escape analysis.
- Carry out computational evacuation modelling.
- Undertake fire engineering calculations including radiant heat, smoke control and occupant evacuation, with support where required.
- Complete third party reviews and design verification.
- Develop a strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation and standards relating to buildings.

Lead Fire Surveyor - Key Requirements
- Degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience working as a Fire Engineer or within a Fire Safety Engineering team.
- IFE membership (MIFireE or AIFireE).
- Strong knowledge of ADB, BS 9999 and BS 9991.
- Confident understanding of regulatory controls and the ability to develop fire engineered design solutions for the built environment.
