Job summary

A global insurance firm in Leeds is seeking a finance leader to direct a team of professionals in producing financial reporting for regulatory and corporate obligations. The ideal candidate will have ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications, and significant experience in insurance accounting within the Lloyd's market. This role demands strong leadership and communication skills to foster team development and drive process improvement initiatives within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Extensive post-qualification experience in insurance accounting and reporting within the Lloyd’s market.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Significant working knowledge of the insurance sector and Lloyd’s regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of financial accounting standards such as UK GAAP & IFRS.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements such as Solvency II.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and production of accurate financial reporting for Group and Statutory submissions.
  • Design, build and enhance reporting and operational framework.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Support transformation initiatives and monitor changes in regulatory requirements.
