Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Senior/Principal EICA Engineer to drive electrical, instrumentation, control and automation design across water and wastewater projects. Based at our head office in Fleet, Hampshire, with site visits across London and the South, you will lead design outputs and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet client and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Experience delivering EICA-focused design for water and wastewater infrastructure, covering feasibility, outline and detailed design stages.
Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Control, Automation or related discipline; Chartered or working toward CEng/IEng (IET) preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical distribution, ICA systems, MCCs, LV design, control philosophies, instrumentation specification and integration with treatment processes.

Responsibilities

Lead the production of EICA design deliverables meeting client, industry and legislative standards.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams from concept to detailed design.
Produce drawings, specifications, schedules, calculations and control philosophies with clarity and accuracy.
Carry out technical reviews of third‑party designs and assess risks and opportunities.
Support design reviews, technical meetings and workshops with clients and partners.
Mentor junior engineers to develop technical and professional skills.
Prepare and review design risk assessments considering safety and whole-life costs.
Support tender analysis, quote reviews and subcontractor proposals.
