Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Principal / Senior EICA Engineer for the water sector. Location is hybrid with multiple sites across England, and you will provide authoritative electrical design leadership across projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (BEng, MEng or equivalent).
• Experience in UK water and wastewater electrical design.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV/HV power distribution and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of complex electrical engineering designs within the water and wastewater sector.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop innovative, practical and risk-balanced engineering solutions.
• Ensure all electrical designs are safe, sustainable, compliant, buildable and cost-effective.
• Produce, review and approve electrical calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and design documentation.
• Support major project bids and contribute to successful project delivery strategies.
• Act as a technical reviewer and maintain high standards of engineering governance and quality assurance.
• Manage technical delivery from high-level project briefs, balancing programme, cost, quality and resource requirements.
• Identify, assess and manage technical risks, ensuring issues are addressed proactively.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Support and mentor engineers and designers, helping to develop technical capability across the business.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, customer focus and engineering excellence.
