Job summary

Egis UK Water is seeking a Principal Electrical / EICA Engineer to lead multidisciplinary design for major water and wastewater projects. You will shape technical strategy, own design decisions and ensure integration across Process, Mechanical, EICA, civil and construction inputs.

You will mentor engineers, support recruitment and contribute to bids, while driving lean, digitally enabled delivery through modelling, automation and data analysis.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status with a professional institution.
• Typically 7–10+ years’ experience in water/wastewater or utilities design.
• Proven ability to act as discipline lead or senior technical lead on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of UK water industry standards and CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater treatment projects across the full design lifecycle.
• Act as discipline technical lead on projects, owning design strategy, key technical decisions, interfaces, risks and quality.
• Review and approve discipline deliverables including calculations, specifications, reports, models, schedules and submissions.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination, integrating Process, Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural and construction inputs.
• Lead workshops, optioneering, value engineering, design reviews and client engagement.
• Promote lean and digitally enabled delivery through modelling, automation, data analysis and templates.
• Provide technical assurance, support project managers with risk, scope and resourcing.
• Mentor and manage engineers, supporting recruitment and chartership progression.
• Contribute to business development, bids and client growth of the discipline capability.
