Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced EICA Engineer to take technical responsibility for electrical, instrumentation, control and automation delivery across major UK water and wastewater projects. This senior role covers the full lifecycle from design development and technical assurance to procurement, construction and commissioning.

You will lead EICA packages, review external engineering and make sound technical decisions with limited supervision, coordinating with Process, Mechanical, Civil

Qualifications

• Five+ years of EICA experience delivering water or wastewater projects.
• Solid electrical background covering MV/LV, protection, earthing and equipment selection.
• Experience with instrumentation, PLC, SCADA and process-control systems.
• Experience delivering EICA designs from feasibility to commissioning.
• Ability to review and challenge designs from consultants and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and review of EICA designs for water/wastewater facilities.
• Define MV/LV power distribution architectures and single-line diagrams.
• Review electrical studies: load flow, voltage drop, short-circuit, protection and earthing.
• Specify transformers, switchgear, MCCs, generators, UPS, cables and equipment.
• Coordinate interfaces with Process, Mechanical, Civil and Commissioning teams; support procurement and bid evaluations.
