Job summary

Matchtech Group is recruiting an experienced EICA Design Engineer for the Water sector to take ownership of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation designs. You will deliver practical, buildable solutions across multidisciplinary projects, working with design managers, site teams, suppliers and clients to achieve safe, efficient outcomes.

The role requires strong knowledge of EICA design, MCCs, SCADA and PLCs, plus the ability to develop drawings, schedules and design philosophies

Qualifications

• Bachelor (Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience in EICA/Electrical design for industrial, process, utilities or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Professional membership in a relevant engineering institution or working towards registration is desirable.
• Proven delivery of technical designs with strong electrical infrastructure knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Design Manager in delivering EICA design work across UK projects.
• Perform preliminary and detailed EICA design for electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.
• Develop calculations, drawings, schedules and technical advice to support contract delivery.
• Develop standards in design to streamline tasks and ensure safety and compliance.
• Liaise with external consultants, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and technicians within the EICA team.
