Job summary

Matchtech Group is recruiting for a Principal / Senior EICA Engineer in the water sector. Location is multiple locations in the North and South of England with hybrid working.

You will provide authoritative technical leadership across projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, safe and cost-efficient electrical designs while driving engineering excellence throughout the lifecycle. You will mentor engineers and support bids and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (BEng, MEng or equivalent).
• Significant experience delivering electrical design solutions in water/wastewater.
• Strong understanding of LV and HV power distribution and control systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design projects.
• Knowledge of automation, control and instrumentation systems (EICA).
• Excellent technical judgement and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery of complex electrical designs within water/wastewater sector.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop practical, risk-balanced engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs are safe, compliant, buildable and cost-effective.
• Produce and review electrical calculations, specs, reports and drawings.
• Support major bids and project delivery strategies.
• Act as technical reviewer and uphold engineering governance and quality.
