Job summary

Coffey is seeking an experienced EICA Design Lead Engineer to drive electrical, instrumentation and control design for water/wastewater projects. The role is hybrid, based at Coffey UK Head Office in Burntwood, Staffordshire, with travel to live locations and occasional work from home as agreed with the Design Manager UK.

You will mentor junior designers, integrate within a multi-disciplinary team, and collaborate with external consultants and supply chain partners to deliver robust design

Qualifications

• Bachelor (Hons) Electrical Engineering and Chartered status preferred.
• >10 years in EICA design for water/wastewater sector and related deliveries.
• Proven delivery of technical designs with strong electrical knowledge.
• Experience with MCC, SCADA and PLC systems in water/wastewater.
• Familiar with site power distribution, cabling, pumps and drives.

Responsibilities

• Lead EICA design activities and mentor junior staff.
• Develop cable schedules, diagrams, and instrument/sensor layouts.
• Plan electrical layouts with CAD tools and industry standards.
• Support proposals, FAT/SAT testing and commissioning procedures.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients in the UK and Ireland.
