Lead Design Engineer

We are working with a key client, founded in 1960, is aLeader by Design of high and low-pressure cartridge valves, reducing stations,and manifoldsfor critical and demanding applications. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join their business in Oldham.

Key requirements

• Must have over 5years working experience as aLead Design Engineer
• Ideally degree educatedinin Mechanical Engineering or related field
• We will consider apprentice trained individuals
• Experience of 3D CAD is required
• Must have extensive experience and proven background in engineering manufacturing
• Must have some experience of leadership and mentoring small to medium teams
• Strong grasp of mechanical principles and system design methodologies
• Experience with MathCad for pressure and strength calculations would be beneficial
• Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus
• Knowledge of GD&T practices and manufacturing engineering is highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
