Qualifications

About the Team

You will work in the Loss Forecasting & Portfolio Quality team within Credit Risk which is a team of six (the Credit Risk department consists of around 60 FTE), working on multiple priorities within a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Our team are responsible for aspects of bad debt including forecasting, loss provisioning, write‑offs, assessing portfolio quality, amongst much more.

We don’t expect you to know everything, we have a friendly team who will be able to support you and help you settle in and learn.

About the role

As a Lead Analyst you will be making best use of data to provide performance insights into bad debt performance, IFRS 9 provisioning and key aspects of portfolio quality. You will also have the opportunity to do this whilst working closely with our colleagues in the wider Credit Risk team, Finance and Treasury.

You’ll work on multiple priorities within a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and will need to be able to manage the expectations of stakeholders while prioritising your workload.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding and experience of IFRS 9 accounting principles & modelling.
  • Highly analytical and commercial individual with previous experience working in a credit risk, statistical analysis or data science role.
  • Proven ability to develop statistical models and provide insightful analytics in a variety of programming languages.
  • Highly intellectual and curious mind with a passion for using data to make recommendations and influence key stakeholders to drive continuous business improvement and support strategic decisions.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
