An exciting opportunity is now available for an Apprentice Landscaper at Trinity Residential College, located on the picturesque University of Western Australia (UWA) campus in Crawley. This hands‑on role allows you to earn while you learn, working towards a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.

Trinity Residential College known affectionately as ‘Trin’ is home to over 400 students from across Australia and overseas. As an all‑inclusive student accommodation provider, the College offers a welcoming, community‑driven environment where students thrive. The lush gardens and green open spaces are a key part of the College’s character and daily life.

The apprentice will work closely with the College’s experienced Landscape Gardener, helping to maintain and enhance the beautifully kept grounds. This is an ideal opportunity to develop practical skills in a peaceful and supportive setting, just minutes from the Swan River and Perth CBD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mow lawns, trim edges, and assist with ongoing lawn care and maintenance.
  • Maintain pathways, garden beds, and outdoor furniture by cleaning and removing debris.
  • Support landscaping projects, including planting new gardens and installing irrigation systems.
  • Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including the safe handling of chemicals and tools.
  • Perform additional duties as required to maintain the College’s outdoor areas to a high standard.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Have a genuine passion for gardening and landscaping, with an interest in developing a career in landscape design or horticulture.
  • Be physically fit and comfortable performing hands‑on outdoor work in a range of weather conditions.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Show a willingness to learn, take initiative, and collaborate closely with the College’s Landscape Gardener.
  • Be safety‑conscious, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing hazards.
  • Willingness to commence, or current enrolment in, a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
