Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting for a Land Advisor in the Land Advisory team. You will research Land Registry records, liaise with landowners, and support major infrastructure projects across the UK. The role involves collaboration with GIS, planning, and stakeholder teams to deliver high-quality land ownership information.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geography or equivalent; experience in land services on major infrastructure schemes.
• Understanding of statutory planning processes and ability to engage professionally with stakeholders.
• Experience taking ownership of small workstreams and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Undertake HM Land Registry research and interpret land rights.
• Identify landowners and liaise with public and property owners onsite or by phone/email.
• Collaborate with GIS & Mapping team to interpret spatial data and produce Land Ownership Plans.
• Produce and quality-check statutory notices and access licences.
• Produce the Book of Reference, Land Plans and related statutory documents.
• Arrange access to land for environmental surveys and liaise with authorities.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports and communicate with clients.
• Work within the consents and engagement team of planners and GIS specialists.
