Job Title: Labourer – General Labouring
Location: Southampton, SO15
Rate: £15.00 per hour
Working Hours: 07:30 – 18:00, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Thursday start

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and hard‑working Labourers to join our team on a general labouring role based in Southampton (SO15). The successful candidates will support various trades on site and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist skilled trades with on‑site tasks

• Prepare and maintain work areas: sweeping, debris removal, and general site clean‑up

• Load, unload, move, and store materials and equipment safely

• Operate basic plant equipment (e.g., wheelbarrows, drills) as directed

• Erect and dismantle temporary site structures (hoardings, fencing, barriers)

• Assist with basic demolition and clearance activities

• Follow onsite health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times

• Report any hazards, damages, or shortages of materials/tools to site supervisor

Requirements

• Previous experience in general labouring (commercial or residential) preferred

• Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) desirable

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks

• Own PPE (safety boots, hi‑vis vest, hard hat)

• Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team

• Good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions
