The Role

Are you passionate about science and precision? Join our dynamic team as a Laboratory Technician, where you’ll play a key role in performing microbiological and chemical analyses with the highest standards of quality. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to the success of a laboratory that upholds GLP, ISO 17025:2017, and cGMP standards, we want to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities
  • Registration and analysis of test samples, including supporting activities such as the preparation and quality control of culture media.
  • Accurately report test results to the customer and create Certificates of Analysis as required.
  • Maintain high levels of hygiene in the laboratory at all times, including the cleaning and swabbing of equipment and laboratory as required.
  • Perform routine internal calibration and performance checks of all necessary equipment, and arrange external calibration as required, ensuring records are accurately maintained.
  • Report, record and investigate laboratory non-conformances, ensuring timely close out of all actions.
  • Monitor stocks of consumables within the laboratory and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Participate in laboratory projects as required by the business.
  • Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping and adhere to all health and safety standards at all times, including the use of PPE provided.
Your Profile
  • GCSE, or equivalent, in English, Maths, and Science.
  • A-Level, or equivalent, in a science-related subject.
  • At least 1 years’ laboratory experience.
  • Computer skills – competent user of Microsoft Office suite. Experience of LIMS and statistical software desirable.
  • Microbiological analysis skills – aseptic technique, pipetting, creating serial dilutions, sample plating, plate reading, preparation of culture media.
