The Role

Thanks to our innovative products and great team – we are proud that the business is continuing to grow, we now have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our professional Research & Development team based in Midsomer Norton.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new products for use in the aqueous inks and textiles market that are aligned with the company strategy.
  • Develop and maintain application testing protocols; maintain and develop SOPs for equipment (e.g. test equipment).
  • Daily tasks in the laboratory as required.
  • Formulate and research new and existing products.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to advance product development and implementation in the Industrial InkJet segments where applicable.
  • Apply scientific knowledge to problem‑solving situations.
  • Provide updates on project progress, including regular communication with project leaders.
  • Support product compliance and safety initiatives.
Qualifications / Experience Critical For The Job Holder
  • Practical knowledge/experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Recent graduate in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Ability to devise test methods, analyse results, and disseminate them professionally and effectively.
  • Strong team player.
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility of their work and think independently while being receptive to feedback to continuously improve the quality of development.
