  • Undertaking all tasks within the main laboratory as trained.
  • Registration, preparation, and analysis of food samples as needed.
  • Ensure completion of all relevant paperwork.
  • Maintain turnaround time >99% to achieve daily targets.
  • Adhere to documented laboratory procedures.
  • Provide high levels of customer care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the working environment.
  • Assist with continuous improvement within the microbiology department.

This is a great opportunity to join Eurofins Food Testing Microbiology laboratory in Needham Market. The purpose of this role is to complete the analysis of food samples to the required quality standards using laboratory techniques and to assist in the efficient day‑to‑day operation of the laboratory.

Please note this is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00.

Full training for this role is provided; laboratory experience is not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking all tasks within the main laboratory vicino the level of training given to you by team leaders and management
  • Registration, preparation and analysis of food samples as required.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day.
  • Maintain turnaround time >99% ensuring daily targets are achieved.
  • Adhere to documented procedures for all laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded and that sakit necessary records and quality data are maintained.
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
  • Face the health and safety legislation and help keep the working environment clean and tidy, including careful maintenance of laboratory fittings and equipment.
  • Wear personal protective clothing equipment in accordance with the health‑and‑safety policy.
  • Work with the team to drive laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
  • Have knowledge of the Laboratory Quality Manual to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and associated documents.
  • Assist through operating best practice to meet UKAS accreditation requirements.
  • Provide a flexible approach to занятия work, assisting other departments as required.
