Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician to join ResChem Analytical Limited, based in Derby, England. We are a responsive, client focused analytical laboratory who specialise in pesticide residue analysis, conducting regulatory studies to GLP on behalf of agrochemical companies for the registration of plant protection products.


ResChem Analytical Limited is a division of Smithers ERS Limited, which provides a wide range of environmental safety testing services for the pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial and specialty chemical, and personal care industries. Our teams include experienced scientists and technicians offering a broad range of skills and areas of expertise.


Working as part of an established and growing team, we are looking for colleagues who are self-motivated, enthusiastic, ambitious, who have a keen eye for detail and an aptitude for problem solving.


All work will be conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and specifically those regulations (GLP) specified in the study plans, protocols, or work agreements governing the work in which they are involved.



Responsibilities

Training will be given in all aspects of the role, including:



  • sample preparation;

  • assisting the team with sample analysis;

  • general laboratory and housekeeping duties.


Responsibilities of the role may vary depending on your qualifications and relevant experience.



Qualifications


  • Ideally educated to BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific subject, or to A-level or equivalent, with experience working in a laboratory being preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • A passion for problem-solving and innovation

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills


Interested applicants should have excellent IT skills, be well-organised, enthusiastic and demonstrate a hands-on approach to work with an ability to use their initiative and apply knowledge.
