Job summary

A leading IT consultancy in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Kubernetes / Containers Solution Architect to build and deliver Kubernetes clusters using RKE2, Rancher, and GitOps. You will implement automation for bare-metal environments, manage cluster lifecycles, and ensure compliance with security standards. Ideal candidates should possess strong experience with CAPI and Metal3, as well as security hardening knowledge. Immediate applications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong Kubernetes experience (RKE2 preferred), Rancher, and GitOps.
• Proven experience with CAPI and Metal3.
• Experience with security hardening: TSA and CIS requirements.

My client is looking for a Kubernetes / Containers Solution Architect

Outside IR35

Rate : Negiotiable

The Role :

• Build and deliver Kubernetes clusters (RKE2 / Rancher / GitOps).
• Implement Cluster API (CAPI) and Metal3 to automate bare-metal environments.
• Contribute to cluster lifecycle automation : node management, upgrades, patching (including air-gapped environments).
• Support future evolution into virtualised clusters via the OpenStack CAPI provider.
• Integrate with OSS APIs and observability platforms.
• Ensure clusters meet TSA and CIS hardening requirements.

The Person

• Strong Kubernetes experience (RKE2 preferred), Rancher, GitOps.
• Proven experience with CAPI and Metal3.
• Security hardening : TSA, CIS benchmark.
• Experience integrating with OSS and observability tooling.
