KS3 Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable KS3 Teacher to join our inspiring Independent SEN School in Poole, specialising in the education and support of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Our school is dedicated to providing a nurturing, personalised learning environment that supports each student’s academic, social and emotional development.

About the Role

In this role, you will teach across PSHE, Humanities, and Maths at Key Stage 3, delivering creative, engaging and accessible lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of our learners. You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team where staff are encouraged to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact daily.

This position is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers. Depending on performance, the school may offer an extension or a permanent contract.

Contract Details
  • Location: Poole, Dorset
  • Position: KS3 Teacher (PSHE, Humanities & Maths)
  • Type of work: Teaching in a specialist SEN setting
  • Start date: January 2025
  • Duration: Temporary with potential to become permanent
  • Hours: 8:30am–4:00pm, plus meetings and parents' evenings as required
  • Pay: From GBP163.00 per day
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS, QTLS or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience (KS3 experience desirable)
  • Experience working with SEN learners, particularly ASC (advantageous)
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (within the last year)
To Be Eligible for this Role, You Must
  • Have Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide two professional references related to working with children
