What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for a dedicated and experienced educator with a strong background in KS2 and a proven track record of achieving positive pupil progress. Strong behaviour management will be important to establish boundaries and hit the ground running. You will also be joined by an experienced Teaching Assistant who knows the children well.

We are seeking a teacher with the following qualities
  • UKS2 Experience: Prior experience working with Year 5 students is highly desirable
  • Curriculum Expertise: A deep understanding of the Year 5 curriculum.
  • Behaviour Management: A firm but fair approach based on trust and mutual respect
  • Assessment Skills: The ability to use both formative and summative assessments to identify misconceptions and inform future planning.
  • Patience and Passion: A deep commitment to helping children make fantastic progress.
  • Adaptability: The capacity to convey information through various teaching strategies, catering to different learning preferences. Utilise audio, visual, and kinesthetic methods to support the diverse needs of our students.
  • Team Oriented: A strong communicator who is informative, open to new ideas and promotes best practice

Essential Requirements
  • You must hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
