Qualifications

Location: Primary School, LEYLAND, Lancashire
Position: Full-Time (Monday-Friday)
Contract: Term Time Only
Pay: £130-£160 per day (inclusive of AWR following 12 weeks of service)

We are pleased to be recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher with proven Key Stage 1 (KS1) experience to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Preston, Lancashire.

This is a full-time, term-time-only role, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS into the National Curriculum, with a strong focus on phonics and early literacy, including Read Write Inc.

  • Teaching a Year 1 class in line with the KS1 National Curriculum

  • Delivering structured and engaging phonics sessions following Read Write Inc

  • Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

  • Working closely with Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support pupil progress

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Small class sizes, enabling LSAs to work closely with pupils and make a real impact

  • An exceptionally positive pupil culture, allowing staff to focus on learning rather than behaviour management

  • A genuinely supportive Senior Leadership Team who value the contribution and expertise of all staff
