Role Overview

The role of the Design Assistant is to assist the design team to develop appropriate knit/ jersey designs aligned to a customer and product development strategy as part of a design team.

To create knit designs interpreting appropriate trends and sales strategic information to meet range plan requirements and to design brief and critical path deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • To assist in putting together trend boards/colour pallets as part of the design team
  • Assists the design team across all aspects of design
  • To assistant in the development of product for sampling
  • To assist in the co-ordination of clothing development in line with critical path deadlines
  • Create knitwear designs and update where necessary
  • Develop skills in computer aided design and become a competent user of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop computer design packages
  • Assist designer by preparing CADing designs and spec packs for factories/suppliers
  • Learn to design multi-product

There are Destination Sites which contain all of the Company's concepts and other brands to increase their attractiveness as a retail destination. The sites trade under local, individual fascia's such as Antartex Village, and Kernow Mill, Mackinnon Mills.
