Full-time Kitchen Porter, 40 hours per week.Monday – Friday. Earliest start time is 8am. Latest finish time is 7pm. £11.44 per hour, paid monthly. Regular Saturday daytime overtime is available.
You’ll be working at Ashville College, Harrogate. We’re easily accessible by public transport from Harrogate or Leeds. Free parking, meal on duty, uniform provided & laundered daily.
You will receive deliveries, carry, wash-up and clean our back of house areas. Because we serve breakfast, lunch & supper to students of all ages the job is fast and can be physically demanding. Job Description
Accepting & putting away deliveries
Cleaning/ sanitising all back of house areas, including walls, sinks, fryers & ovens
Sweeping & mopping kitchen floors
Washing up, including dishes, pots, and cooking equipment
Emptying bins
Adhering to Food & Health & Safety regulations
Qualifications
Must haveproven right to work in the UK. Must currently reside in the UK, within easy reach of the School. Must be able to successfully pass an Enhanced DBS security check (10 years to present in the UK, or Police Good Conduct report from country of origin)
Excellent communication skills
Friendly & helpful
Experience of high volume washing up and basic kitchen cleaning is preferred
