We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join the team at Ottolenghi Islington. Our kitchen porters play an essential role in keeping everything running smoothly, maintaining cleanliness, supporting the chefs, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently at all times.

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Kitchen Porter for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen experience and be confident in managing incoming deliveries, including accepting and storing them correctly. Good English language skills are essential for this role.

What you’ll do:
  • Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils clean and organised.
  • Manage deliveries — checking orders, storing items correctly, and maintaining stock rotation.
  • Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation when needed.
  • Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and cleaning procedures.
  • Work as part of a busy, friendly team to maintain Ottolenghi’s high standards.
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar role.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
  • Good communication skills and understanding of English.
