Job summary

Parkdean Resorts UK Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team. You’ll prep ingredients, wash and chop, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen across service periods, working closely with Head Chef and Sous Chefs.

You’ll bring a positive, energetic approach, good communication, and flexibility to cover various shifts including evenings and weekends. Food Hygiene Level 2 or willingness to complete training is required.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to follow directions and maintain cleanliness.
• Willingness to complete Food Hygiene Level 2 training if not already qualified.

Responsibilities

• Washing, peeling and preparing ingredients for service.
• Receiving deliveries, checking stock and storing items correctly.
• Rotating stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic, including surfaces and equipment.
• Supporting basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior chefs.
• Communicating clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
