Job summary

Parkdean Resorts UK Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team across our UK parks. You’ll help with ingredient prep, cleaning, and basic food prep while assisting chefs to deliver high-quality dishes to guests.

The role requires energy, strong communication, and the flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. Training in Food Hygiene Level 2 or willingness to complete it with support is expected.

Qualifications

• The ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
• Good manual dexterity and basic food preparation skills.
• A positive, energetic approach and commitment to great service.
• Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 - or willingness to complete training with our support.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and prepare ingredients for service.
• Receive deliveries, check stock quality and expiry dates, store items correctly.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic, including appliances and surfaces.
• Support basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior chefs.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues for smooth service.
• Report any suspected weaknesses or breaches in the company’s information systems.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene responsibilities.
