Job summary

Parkdean Resorts UK Limited in the Isle of Wight is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support a busy culinary team within a fast-paced environment. You will assist with prep, cleanliness, and stock control while working closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver quality meals for guests.

Role requires good communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Training in Food Hygiene is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Washing, peeling and preparing ingredients for service – basic prep skills.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and clear communication to ensure smooth service.
• Willingness to complete Food Hygiene training if needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel and prepare ingredients for service.
• Receive deliveries, check stock quality and expiry dates, store items properly.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keep kitchen and appliances clean and hygienic.
• Assist senior chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues for efficient service.
• Uphold health, safety and safeguarding responsibilities.
