Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team across our UK parks. You’ll help prep ingredients, keep the kitchen clean, and assist chefs during service to deliver great meals for guests.

You’ll work with Head Chef, Sous Chef and Commis Chefs to maintain a safe, efficient kitchen. Applicants should enjoy a fast paced environment, be reliable, and flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Fast paced kitchen experience or ability to work well under pressure.
• Good manual dexterity for basic food prep.
• Positive, energetic approach and commitment to great service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate or willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for service.
• Receiving deliveries, checking stock, and storing items correctly.
• Rotating stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and organised.
• Assisting senior chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
• Communicating clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
